Another Simple Mathematical Proof

Look, another silly mathy post, this time for people who say that same-sex marriage is not "real" marriage.

Take as a given that females and males are equal. Obviously the worst people don't believe it, but they look right bad admitting it.

If F = M
and F + M = marriage
then F + F = marriage
and M + M = marriage

:)

I love it! I absolutely love your mathematical proof posts!

Usually when someone offers a mathematical proof of a social issue, it makes me groan in pain, but this one is really quite appropriate.

Same-sex marriage really is an equal rights issue. If a man has the right to marry a woman, then a woman would have the same right if men and women were really equal under the law.

Very nice! I like it a lot.

FGJ, I keep trying to use that argument, and people tell me it's silly! Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
