I've become a huge fan of the show Reba and even though it was cancelled a while back, I still love watching the re-runs. I've realized that one of the reasons I love the show so much, is because Reba's character is so freakin cool. She's a single, working mom with three kids, a granddaughter, and a son-in-law who all live under her roof. Yet despite all the craziness in her life she is always there to give unconditional love and advice, even to her nextdoor neighbor, who, did I mention, is her ex-husband's new wife.
The other night while indulging in my after-work-reba-marathon routine, I came across this epsidoe (http://youtube.com/watch?v=l9WkNIeyp3M) that shows how ridiculous dieting is. Unfortunately, I could not find the final part of the episode, which I think is the best part, where Reba tells Barbara Jean (her ex-husband's new wife who is trying to lose weight)that she shouldn't diet if she doesn't want to. She then tells her that it is more important for her to be happy with herself and suggests that she go put on an outfit that makes her feel sexy. I was so pleasantly surprised by this because I was waiting for the typical "eat healthy and in moderation, just don't starve yourself, and exercise" lesson that most shows go with when they address the issues of weight. But to see a televison show that actually encourages women to be OK with their bodies just the way they are? Wow, thanks Reba! Hopefully this will not be a one-time thing!
What other shows do you feel send a positive message to women about their bodies?

PS, sorry I didn't leave a link, I can't figure out how to do it on here. Feel free to enlighten me!
I hate that show personally, but I'm glad they used such a positive message. More should!
I love this show...and I'm always amazed at the different things they deal with occasionally for a sit com, but I loved how they dealt with this issue in that episode...
