The O Tapes, a documentary combining the history of the female orgasm with accounts from women aged 25-60, psychologists, and doctors, could be considered a companion to Eve Ensler's legendary Vagina Monolologues. Driven by personal accounts as well as a history lesson -- Ida Craddock and Margaret Sanger's contributions are included -- The O Tapes is a funny, lively, sensual and at times heartbreaking look at the quest for clarity, a Penn & Teller's Bullshit for truth in female sexuality.
At one time, the producers were invested in turning The O Tapes into a series, but unfortunately an agreement with Showtime could not be reached.

Aw, Showtime?
Shouldn't they pitch it to WEtv or Oxygen? Or are they too timid to run something like this? I haven't watched the women's cable networks with feminist eyes in a while.
This is excellent. I certainly consider myself progressive and if my partner of 6 years and i do ever decide to get officially "married" i hope to be able to overcome the hype and plan something as fabulously rebellious. I don't know if i'd be able to not accept any gifts at all though, i think if it's "stuff" the couples doesn't want (and i totally hear that) they should encourage bedroom furniture guests to donate to causes instead, this way they don't get crap, the guests still feel like they've given a gift.
