I found a good summary from CNN regarding the proposed rule by the Bush administration that would define birth control as abortion:

The anchorperson brings up an interesting point about McCain’s conspicuous silence. It seems that McCain is stuck between a rock and hard place. He wants to gain women’s votes, but at the same time, he also wants to appeal to anti-choice extremists who want to eliminate birth control.

When it comes down to it, McCain’s record shows where his true commitments lie.  Unfortunately, it seems he is more interested in winning anti-choice votes, rather than supporting women’s health.

We need to support a pro-choice president, like Barack Obama, whose record shows a strong commitent to women’s health and rights .  Show your support for Obama and help spread the word about McCain’s true colors by embedding our pro-choice presidential countdown widget in your myspace , facebook , or on your blog . Just click the "Share" button in the lower right-hand corner and click your preferred network to post it on.  Or to get a widget better formatted for your blog go HERE.

*** Note: These widgets will not automatically countdown in facebook. They must be clicked to activate timer. The countdown functions normally in myspace and on blogs.***
