This journey has indeed been a long one. I have learned and am still learning to accept who I am. Who I am is mommy, wife, supporter, provider, educator, daughter, granddaughter and most importantly WOMAN .
I want to first share my blog with you to give you a little background on why I decided to start this post.

Then after, I want to share a recent experience I have had. I was on a community forum, moreso a mommy forum. The owner of the site was a devout feminist who would tell you in a heartbeat that she was. Time went by as a member on this forum and a pattern began to arise. Members starting disappearing out of nowhere. I was curious as to why. One of the co-founders of the site disappeared, no questions asked. I later came to find out that she simply disagreed with the owner of the site, and she was discarded, just like that.
Then, some members questioned this. They too, were discarded and humilated in such a horrendous way. Keep in mind there were only women on this site, friends may I add. The only reason I stuck around is because the site contained many close friends of mine and this "said" owner disappeared and never returned.
More time went by. A friend of mine on the site approached me in an instant message. She shared with me that her feelings where extremely hurt by the owner of this forum. The owner, who had been adverstising my friends' new business, had indeed opened up her own, an exact replica of my friend's. My friend sells printable stationary and had build the business off of her back. So of course being the owner, she would draw more business to her site. She had more resources, more choices, and so on.
My friend was devastated. There was a topic in the forum one evening about loyalty. The owner had gotten word that my friend had found out about the new business she had opened. So she decided to say, "F$%k you all." I was steaming mad and stepped up. I didn't want her to take out anything on anyone else so I decided to take the heat.
I told her that my friend knew of her business and that it wasn't right because this was her income. She cursed me and told me that I didn't know what I spoke of. Then, she took out a horrible vengeance. She mocked my post-partum depression and my marital problems. Then she literally made fun of my suicide attempt. She closed the forum down and put a huge message across the screen "I tried to kill myself with a pink lady bic. A pink plastic razor with daises on it and a moisterizing strip."
Many of you know that is a movie quote; however, she did this to delibertly hurt me and take vengeance. I had just said to whom I thought was a friend that I had not felt this bad since I tried to commit suicide, years ago. Then , she got word. I had discussed once my suicide attempt on this forum, how I did it. I had tried it with a lady bic razor blade.
Please, someone tell me I am wrong. That this woman is not indeed a feminist. She will preach to you on how to be the "perfect" feminist but yet do this to her fellow women? She also turned the other friend I took up for against me, which hurt me indeed.

WOW! Using a site for women, and MOTHERS to tear women down, and abuse them. I am so sorry you were sucked into this vortex of abuse and misuse of the term, "feminist".
The owner sounded like a supremacist not a feminist.
A lot of Egomanical control jerks CoOpt causes/Issues in attempt to bolster their power. I always watch out for people that quickly link themselves to causes.
