Hey Everyone,
I've gotten such insightful information from so many of you, I've decided to ask you for help in a huge decision!
I have two years left of my undergrad, but I'm starting the process of scheduling my GRE's and figuring out what graduate schools to apply for. (Especially considering I have to have my applications in, in around a year).
I was just wondering if you could give me insights, advice, or personal experiences about what graduate Women and Gender Studies programs you've attended.
I'm a firm believer that hearing actual student testimony helps pick a university that's right for you.
Thanks for your help!
Veronica

Two questions:
1) What state are you living in?
2) Is money a factor?
If the answer to "1" is California or the answer to "2" is, "no".
Then Go Bears! I've heard nothing but great things about UC Berkeley's program.
Avoid Concordia University's Simone de Beavoir Institute (Montreal), unless they have adopted more stringent hiring practices in teh last 10 years. Back then theor philosophy seemed to be 'Got a vagina? Then YOU, TOO can become a women's studies professor!'
Hi Veronica. I'm beginning my first year of a master's program in women's studies next month. While I'm not the most experienced with Women's Studies in the academy just yet, I can tell you some about the process and what I've encountered researching many programs and visiting a few to speak with faculty, staff and students. If you're comfortable talking by email, feel free to shoot me one!
