Hilary Rosen, CNN contributor and Washington editor at large of the Huffington Post, wrote an awesome article regarding Sarah Palin's experience, qualifications, and stance on crucial issues. I would highly recommend checking it out. Among some of her better points:
- Both Palin and McCain have their health insurance needs taken care of by the government. They oppose helping more than 45 million uninsured Americans get affordable health care.
- Similarly, McCain and Palin are both paid well, so they can easily afford to give their children the best education possible, yet McCain continually opposes programs to help other families have that same privilege.
- And, most tellingly, "McCain and Palin want us to leave their families alone. Yet they want to make rules for our families by eliminating our right to make our own choices over abortion, eliminate our access to family planning education or domestic partner benefits, and our freedom from discrimination."
Sarah Palin seems like a lovely woman and I know that many American women feel very strongly that they can relate to her, juggling the career, the kids, the small business, but it is quite clear that while Palin has been quite fortunate in her own life, if you do not share that good fortune, you are just out of luck.
