Houston Chronicle Hilariousness

My sister (who I've slowly but surely indoctrinated with my feminist way of thinking) sent me this article about Bristol Palin in the Houston Chronicle.  There has been enough coverage of the pregnancy and its implications, as well as analysis of the way this topic has been covered, so I won't go into any of that.  But I do want to discuss two of the most appallingly hilarious quotes I have ever happened upon.

Republican delegate Mike Bergsma said, "Kids are kids, right? We prayed that our daughter would avoid that situation, and luckily we've got her married off now.   Obviously it's a hard thing for the Palins, and I'm sure that they're handling it as best as reasonably possible."

Good thing the Bergsmas avoided THAT train wreck.  Whew.  I mean, that was a close one! It was only a matter of time before her whorish ways caught up to her, and we alllll know that no respectable man would have had her then.  You might have had to throw in an extra cow or two to make that deal.

Ok, but it gets better (or worse?).  Alternate Texas delegate Carolyn Payne Lomax is quoted as saying, "I am surprised. But, as Christians, we cannot throw stones.  There were some people who judged us when our daughter had a baby in high school with a person of another nationality .  One person who judged us, he had cancer multiple times.   Judging will come back to get you."

First off, it strikes me as completely unnecessary to specify that her daughter was impregnated by a person of another nationality.  You know, like the situation might have been slightly better if only she'd slept with a white boy, but noooooo you had to bring a foreigner into the mix.  Jeez, talk about adding insult to injury.

And then of course...the cancer.  He judged us and then got cancer?? Do you hear that folks? Don't judge others or you'll get cancer.  God certainly showed THAT guy.  Ha! He thought he could get away with the Judgey McJudgerson, but then he got cancer. Twice. So take that.

Oh my.  I hope this brought y'all as much glee/horror as it did me.  (and I hope my sarcasm reads so people don't think I'm agreeing...) ♥

Sheesh....
Well you gotta hold your breath till you get them married off because dancing at the purity ball doesn't work as well as a condom. Xenophobia, sexism, vengeful Gods , we got it all here folks.

I almost died 'cause it's hard to breathe when you're laughing so hard.
