Oh No Neighbor!
My neighbor on the left is a quirky elderly lady who never forgets to say 'hello' whenever anyone passes by. My family has never had any issues with her. All is peace.
Earlier this year, she expressed her political views through her support of Hillary Clinton to one of my parents.
This morning, as I was going to school, I saw that she had put a McCAIN/PALIN sign on her lawn.
Needless to say, this scares me.

It scares you? Why? If she takes the time to say 'hello' to anyone that passes by, and she's never caused anyone any problems, what's there to worry about? What makes you think she's suddenly going to attack you? I'm not trying to sound make you look foolish, I just truly don't understand why this is a problem.
I think the 'scare' comes from realizing that people can be dumb enough to buy the whole "voting-for-Palin-is-just-like-voting-for-Clinton" malarky, instead of realizing it's a cheap ploy to get the women's vote.
Maybe you could strike a peaceful conversation with her talking about the election. You never know maybe you could be the one to influence a change in her vote.
LOLchicky-
No, I don't fear or expect my neighbor to attack me. I fear that others will have the same line of thought as she does when voting time comes around. Voting for Sarah Palin does not equal voting for Hillary Clinton.
I'm pretty sure your neighbor doesn't think a vote for Palin is the same thing as a vote for Clinton. Without talking to her, you really don't know why she's voting that way.
I understand your frustration, but it's unfair to assume to know others' reasoning.
I see why your scared...your scared that someone's political views can be so easily changed
