I saw this in Salon.com today.
and I thought it would be of interest to you all.
Now, I'm not going to hold Palin personally responsible for every nutty thing her pastor says but I do seriously bristle at her invocation of God and God's plan when discussing the war in Iraq and her proposed energy policy. This would seem to indicate that she is even more extremist than I previously thought possible. It really creeps me out. I just don't think that God should have any role in politics (yes, I live in this fantasy world).
So, it will be interesting to see if Palin will be made to answer for her pastor's controversial views the Obama was.

Oh, what a beautiful holy war this is! I doubt she'll be raked over the coals quite as viciously as Obama was. After all, quite a few Americans are nervous about Islam as a religion.
While there's nothing wrong about her being up front with her religion, one does have to wonder just how much her religion influences how she plans to be our vice president.
Palin comes across here as young, naive, enthusiastic and cute. Yes, to me she was somewhat cute, and I'm as pissed off with this woman as it's possible to be. But I notice that plenty of people I don't like are charismatic, and I think McCain perhaps picked Sarah Palin because of this charm factor. I mean, he's constantly criticised Obama for his 'naivete' and 'youth', but if anyone looks, speaks and gestures like a young girl, it's Sarah Palin in this video. I think McCain clearly sees the effect this can have on an audience. HOWEVER, I do not think this is enough to win an election, especially not with Palin's controversies and the women who are riled by the suggestion that picking a woman will somehow make them want to vote for him.
Plus, he fancies her :P
