The Scene: a woman and her boyfriend are watching MSNBC in their hotel room, drinking coffee and enjoying some spirited political discourse regarding the conventions. The story turns to Sarah Palin. After watching several minutes of videos of Palin, the boyfriend nonchalantly says, "You know, I bet she gives great head."
Thanks, honey, for reminding me that even a highly intelligent, insightful man can spout utter sexist crap if he forgets to censor himself for the sake of his feminist girlfriend. If that's what my favorite man is saying, I can only imagine what kind of "political discourse" the rest of the men in this country will be having in regards to Sarah Palin. Ugh.

"if he forgets to censor himself for the sake of his feminist girlfriend"
This statement reminded me of some comment one of my guy friends said to me a couple of weeks ago. I was having a most difficult time putting together this easel, we were on the phone, and he said, "You should have gotten it when I was there last week." And I replied sarcastically, "yes because I need a man in my life to do things like this for me." He laughed, and said, "Yea I forgot I shouldn't say things like that to you."
My point is, guys shouldn't have to "censor" themselves for the sake of not offending us "crazy feminists." It's like, just don't think that way!
I know where you are coming from:) It's called reality. we need much patience, perseverance and tact.
Gross. That's not just sexist, it's degrading and disrespectful to YOU. Agree with you, silly feminist--they wouldn't HAVE to "censor" themselves if they didn't think that way in the first place.
Oy. These kind of stories make me glad I don't have guy friends or a boyfriend. haha I hope when I do he won't say things like that.
