Sexism in the Newspaper

This isn't even Sexism in the News, because it's a column. Why the Statesman even felt like this was something which should be the main focus of the website's front page is a mystery to me (of course, the Statesman isn't known for awesome Murphy Brown journalism anyway).

As an Astros fan (yes, I know they sucked it up this season), I find it inconceivable that the only way Mike Leggett can think to insult the Brewers is to call them women. They pay him for this?

You can contact the Austin American-Statesman to tell them (politely) how much they suck for printing this here .

What an ass! The Cubs did the same thing when they won the division, and my husband and I laughed at how funny the goggles looked, but c'mon. They're not the ones who have to clean up. It's smart to protect their eyes, as they kinda need 'em for the line of work they do. I thought they looked funny, but I actually admire them for being able to think ahead and not create a giant sticky mess just to celebrate for one night. I bet the cleaning crew appreciated it too! And what's with the guy saying that it's not manly to scream when being attacked by a bear?!?!? "Like a woman"? REALLY?

What is the site you linked to, anyway? I've never heard of them, and now I'm glad I don't usually read their crap. I'm certainly not going to start now.

Also, as a Cubs fan, who therefore hates the Brewers :-), I still don't like to see them insulted for celebrating responsibly. My guess is this guy thinks it's 'girly' to call for a designated driver if you get hammered, too - heaven forbid you take precautions beforehand! Asswipe. (Him, not you, obv!)
