This is a sad story. I remember seeing a movie on tv a couple years ago that had a story like this, but it was a lesbian couple. I believe Vannessa Redgrave played the part of the surviving partner, and the nephew of her late partner was taking the house that she and her partner had bought together and lived in for years from her. It was nicely done.
