First off, I'd like to preface this with the fact that this is my first actual post on here, so I'm sorry if I tick anyone off. Plus, I'm not really a good writer. But this article kind of rubbed me the wrong way.
The article starts with this quote "These 13 ladies, whose lives were tragically cut short will always be remembered because they were hot and "a thing of beauty is a joy forever."" Not because of any actual accomplishments of their's. Just their smoking hot bods/corpses.
Then each entry has a "how long she stayed hot" part which, I don't know about you all, really squicks me out.
I think the part that kind of creeped out/pissed me off the most is the button on the first page to lead you to the second page. Sillouettes of women reclining and posing adorn the link to the next page. I cant' really describe exactly how this pisses me off other than it kind of does.
So am I overreacting or is this article a piece of work or what?

I knew a necrophiliac once. Creepy guy, didn't know he was a necrophiliac until after I stopped hanging out with him. Anyway, his "thing" was that he would look up soldiers who died in Iraq, or local cops who were killed, who he thought were attractive, then he would learn all about how they died-- and their lives, too. He wanted to know all about them, and he would get off to that.
Hearing about that made bile rise in my throat, to think of soldiers who got blown up in the line of duty and him picking them out and getting off to their stories.
And that's what this reminded me of. Ugh.
"how long she stayed hot" WTF??? f'in sick.
I'm not a fan of Spike. At first, I was put off. but after reading the whole thing, I'm not really that offended by it. The quote "A thing of beauty is a joy forever" isn't the most tactful...I mean woman aren't "things." But over all, I don't think they are saying "Too bad these hot, fuckable chicks aren't around for masturbation fodder." They note not only their beauty but their contributions, their charity, and kind nature. They are talking about these women in a way that acknowledges their personhood. I acknowledge a lot of people who died that were beautiful, as well as people who weren't. I see nothing wrong with this.
jennifer93, did you read the one about Anna Nicole Smith's body decomposing quickly?
No, I didn't...That's pretty grotesque. Under many "how long she stayed hot" they spoke of how some of those women were greatly missed. I supposed they used "hotness" as a way of saying how popular they were. The one about Anna Nicole Smith is pretty disgusting.
ooooooooooh shit thats disgusting
that is EXTREMELY effed up!
Is it really redeemable that they may mention "charity work" under "what made them hot" ? The title is "10 Hottest Dead Girls" - yet all those listed are WOMEN, not girls. And a Playboy Playmate on the same list as Princess Diana? Not knocking Dorothy Stratton for posing nude in a magazine, that's up to the individual, but what else did she do? That's what makes this whole list a joke.
Maybe the only redeeming thing is this comment left by petrusa001 - "the violence against women is a tragic epidemic of the modern decaying decadent capitalist societies"
It was just a list of the top 13 prettiest female celebs who've passed on... I don't feel offended by it at all. They singled out Princess Diana for her charity involvement, not her boobs!
