Sara Draws a Blank
Although Sara Palin claims to have read "all" the newspapers and magazines in the country, she is unable to name a single one of them. Really, Sarah?

Is Palin REALLY this vapid, or is there something else going on here? Is she suffering from stage fright? Self-confidence issues?
The last thing I want is a McCain/Palin win, and I'm not trying to defend her, but I honestly have the hardest time believing that a presidential candidate really made such a bad pick for a partner. Can someone REALLY be this hopeless? It boggles the mind, it's like someone's gonna jump out soon and yell, "You've been PUNK'D!"
This clip almost makes me wish I was back in school, just to turn in a paper with a bibliography that simply reads, "All of them. I have a lot of sources."
This is your brain. This is your brain on Rove.
But seriously...I don't think she can really be that clueless. My feeling is that the campaign has done so much "work" with her (what to say, what not to say, keeping her censored, etc.)that her brain is a little fried...
I don't believe Palin's this woman's an idiot.
I've seen a lot of stage fright and nerves in my day, in this is pure skittishness. If she were on "safer" ground (perhaps in a familiar Alaskan locale) with a less-famous reporter, I think she would be delivering cheeky zingers as per usual (there are videos up of her past gubernatorial debates).
She could of just named the Wall Street Journal, NY Times or ... umm.. maybe... Mat-Su Valley Frontiers"man". That is the news paper in Wasilla.
This must have been a really frustrating interview (for Katie). I haven't seen ALL of it, but in the clips I've seen, Palin can't elaborate on ANYTHING. Like pulling teeth.
I can't believe an educated adult who must have public speaking experience to get elected, is actually that lost. (Perhaps this is why she also says coverage regarding her in the media is not sexist. She hasn't seen any.)
There must be something more to it. My latest conspiracy theory is that the Republicans gave up at some point, selecting Gov. Palin was pandering, and failing that, she'll be the poster child for why women are not qualified for positions of responsibility.
I don't know how the Obama campaign can resist, even out of common courtesy, from attacking her qualifications.
