Political Cartoons
I know this is kind of late but today I went on Slate and found this collection of political cartoons.
They are about Obama's victory and some of them are very moving.

Unfortunately, some are also quite mean-spirited.
But the majority are wonderful. The one that affected me the most was #12, the Steve Breen cartoon showing Abraham Lincoln. I think that one affected me the most because I'm a Washingtonian by birth, and am so familiar with the overwhelming sadness on Lincoln's face in that sculpture, so I was moved to joyful tears by the thought of Lincoln just as we see him in the Memorial ... but smiling.
And of course I couldn't do without the image of Obama and MLK exchanging terrorist fist-bumps. B-)
I loved these! Yeah, some are of course from McCain supporters, but hey whatever. The majority are lovely. I like the one of Obama locking the segregated america in a museum. Very moving... I look forward to more cartoons during his time as president.
This is completely off topic, but I just realized while going through those strips that Signe Wilkinson, one of my fav political cartoonists, is a woman! Whoa! I assumed she was a man, because, really--how many female political cartoonists are there?

(Love her Sarah Palin caricature; one of the best in the business)
