How Humiliating and Disgusting

Three girls from Aspira Early College High School in Chicago have come forth to say that in December 2007 they were strip searched by a security guard while investigating a fire. For some sick reason, the guard required them to remove their underwear during the search. Disgusting.

That is so wrong on SO many levels. Thanks for posting this, depressing as it is.

So, the fire was in the BOYS locker room - so that cop searched 3 GIRLS????

What the hell was wrong with him (well, actually that's kind of obvious)???

Worse yet, how come none of the other adults present tried to stop him???

That is sick and disgusting - and I hope some people go to jail because of that incident (first and foremost, the pervert cop)

"What the hell was wrong with him (well, actually that's kind of obvious)???"

The cop was female...

Does that change things?

Women can abuse their power to humiliate people too, so no. Man or woman, anyone who behaves the way this guard did should not be in a position of power.

Yes, this is disgusting. I thought they had protection laws against this sort of behavior now.

The cop was female and apparently she thought one of the girls had shoved the lighter where the sun doesn't shine, since she had them squat and cough, but I think that is just plain ridiculous and extreme. I think this cop was having sadistic fun and these girls' espense. Unfortunately some people just shouldn't be in powerful positions.

Would that even work, to make it come out? I don't really want to go try it and see...

The fact that you guys all thought the officer was a man is *very* telling. Kneejerk, please?

The fire was in the boy's room. So what? Is there a force-field preventing female entry? Nope.

They coulda easily started a fire in there. So they got strip-searched. Ohwellsowhat.

Another example of bias in favor of women, ie, the Innocent Woman Defense.
