Not a surprise...

Movies are using leather-clad women to promote a movie that has a MAN as the protagonist? Noooo. For Shame, G.I. Joe movie. I will not be seeing you.

I find this to be a rather disingenuous post.

Why not show EVERY poster for this movie? You know, the ones that show MEN in tight, skin-gripping leather?

The protagonist of "GI Joe" was always the team, not a single individual.

Yeah, I thought this post was rather knee-jerk as well. I don't remember GI Joe as having any one protagonist. It was a pretty large team.

Ah....I love how they're bringing back all the retro cartoons and turning them into movies. The next one could be He-Man, and then we'd see a man in a leather loincloth on the posters!!!! How refreshing!

Didn't they make multiple posters?

Isn't that Baroness?

Isn't she one of the main villains?

Why wouldn't she be on the poster?

Why wouldn't a female character of the movie be on the poster? That's Baroness. I've also seen posters which show only one of the male characters: Snake Eye by himself and Duke by himself.

The men were also leather clad in all of the posters showing a lone character in black. Your point?

I thought the female GI Joe (Jane?) had red hair?

Or maybe I'm too young to remember anything but the PSAs at the end of the show.
