Okay, this was almost 2 weeks ago that it happened but it still makes for a good read. I was reading my "usual feminist propaganda" at my usual spot in the cafe at my school. I was sitting with my friend and we were talking. My other friend Will came by and a young boy of 17 by the name of Eric. We were all talking and Eric knows that I'm a feminist and knows a lot about what I read and for some reason we all came to the topic of rape. What is it, what constitutes as rape, and why most women don't get justice.
Eric was asking a lot of questions and it is a good thing to ask about something you don't understand. He asked why are there a lot of girls at there claiming that they were raped but it doesn't seem so. He also asked why girls cry rape to get attention. I told him that most girls who say they were raped....were odds are raped. The situations that he gave me were to make people think that they were not raped was that the end result did not include them beaten to a bloody pulp. I let him know that most rape cases didn't end up with a woman almost beaten to death, and that is a misconception that all rapes include severe beatings. And the whole thing that girl cry rape to get attention kinda pissed me off to be honest. I know that he's somewhat ignorant when it comes to this stuff but that statement still pissed me off.
Will jumped in and said that is a rare occurrence and if a girl does make those false statements socially then there is something wrong with her emotionally or maybe mentally.
So we were still talking then this guy to was reeking in douchebaggery came by and decided that he wanted to all smug when he asked me a question about rape. "Well, miss 'women-can-do-no-wrong', what if a woman was drunk or was being a slut, are you trying to tell me that she should get justice?" I thought he was kidding for a second, then I knew that he was being a dickcheese. "Yes, she should get justice and the asshole who took advantage of someone who was not coherent in that brutal way should be punished by the fullest extent of the law." Then his eyes widened and said "Now that's where I call bullshit on that. I'm throwing in the bullshit card!" I laughed at him because of A) of what he said because hes a big D&D-esque nerd and he always use gaming references in his everyday speech and B) the tone of his voice and his mannerisms and the way he said it as if he had an upper hand on me or something. "Women should know that they are going get it when she does that. Feminists sit around and expect women not to have any responsibility for their actions" my friends, and myself quickly interrupted him. "That's what the rapists expect...no responsibility....that's what most men throughout history expected.....but that's not what we expect."
He did start to get pissy at that but he completely disregarded that and continued on "You can't be teasing men like that, that's not fair" I told him "You can't be raping women like that, that's not fair." We went on with that little immature banter for a bit then I spouted out, "The way women are portrayed in the court system even if their cases get taken to court is appalling. Why is it that the woman is put on trial and not the accused attacker hmmm? Why is her past brought up as if it had anything to do with what happened to her hmmmm?" Then this asshat stated "Fine, we'll have equal rights there....put both pasts on trial, the woman and the guy " (the way he said that to me was indeed condescending by the way). "RAPE IS NOT ABOUT SEX, IT'S ABOUT POWER. " I stated to him....sternly at this point. "Oh, so a movement that includes sexual intercourse has nothing to do with sex huh? I CALL BULLSHIT!" My friends were at that point chiming in for me because they knew that I was going to humiliate him so much because I was getting louder (I'm a naturally loud person anyways). My friends knew everything that guy was saying was bullshit and Wil can be quite.....well....condescending when you get him going like that. So, he picked apart everything that guy and proved all of his words wrong and I did start laughing on the inside. "Dammit Will, you're just supporting her 'cause you're gay." the rest of the people at my table said Will being a gay man has nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing with someone. That when this massive douche got mean (you know, since he hasn't already.......)
"You dykes are all the same. You just sit around and whine all day about something that YOU create, not us." Well, I'm not a "dyke" but I didn't need to prove my "straight-ness" to him because I'm comfortable enough in my sexuality that his opinion means less than nothing. That's when I threw up my arms and yelled out "What wrong with dykes huh?" I have half joking, half killing him slowly with my words. "Well, I guess my boyfriend is into dykes then. I must call him to inform him of his preference." (I'm also a major smartass). "See, you need to understand that this feminism thing is just bullshit and you're not worth trying to convince, you're too far gone. You are crazy, you're paranoid, you're dumb." Then he walked away and met up with some guys and discussed (loudly) the evils of feminism. Mind you, there were more correspondence back and forth and towards the end I was yelling at him. Partly because he was interrupted me and he refuse to let me even speak after a while. However, myself as well as my friends there did prove him wrong after every stupid comment he made and that's why he left.
Now that it's been almost 2 weeks since that incident every time I walk into the cafe and he's there, he always gives me the dirtiest looks and calls me a dyke under his breath. He started to talk to his "boys" about how women are selfish and want everything for themselves. I know he's doing it to piss me off so I don't pay him any mind. All he does all day is play video games and cards and stuff. Lately he's being telling people how I'm ugly and stuff. That's great coming from an uggo himself, an unfit, smelly uggo.

Wow, that guy sounds like a loser. On the bright side, he's only 17 and still has a lot of time to learn. Hopefully he'll think about what you said, even if he wouldn't admit it at the time.
Wait, was it the 17 year old who did all this? I got the impression that a third party came up to the table and butted into their conversation.
Anyway, I'm biting my tongue on a whole cascade of D&D nerd potshots, because this guy sounds like every angry bitter clueless cliche rolled into one. My one concern is there a possibility he'd do it, since he's already vocalized his acceptance of rape. Or is he just spewing out a lifetime of sexual frustration and lingering virginity?
WOW. Good job for standing up for women. I never have patience or understanding for guys like that, so it must be a pain in the ass but thank you for doing it.
Don't let his comments hurt you because he obviously feels really dumb and is trying to make you feel as bad as he does.
Might I add he also said that men and women are "separate but equal" I told him that it didn't work for race so why should it work for gender. That was one of the biggest thing that got my "bitch switch" (if you will) switched on.
Oh, that ass was named Peter. Eric is the 17yr old who was asking questions because he really didn't know. Peter was the massive douche lol

While I don't usually condone swiping back at someone by insulting their appearance...yeah, he's mad because he's not getting laid.
