A little rant against the Travel Channel
30 second shots of the same woman's butt in a thong over and over, a quick cut to a mountain view, back to the same woman's butt, and then a panning shot from a woman's butt to her boobs does not a show about travel to Hawaii make. All this channel shows is models in tiny bathing suits. Even the segments on snorkeling, diving, and hiking show (a certain type) of women in bikinis.

i was disgusted too. i like a few shows on the travel channel but they just sold out with this one.
Considering that another of The Travel Channel's featured shows is "Bridget's Sexiest Beaches", I'm sensing a theme here.
Although ranting always feels good, Feministing consistently demonstrates that it's always better to put your feedback where it can make the most difference.

I liked this video because it gives a very human look at sex work. I was a bit disturbed that the spin was not that there is an emerging sex industry, but that there are MALE sex workers. How shocking!The last line was quite disturbing. I think the journalist missed the story by bedroom furniture not asking what he meant by "I have no choice but to do it."
