Give me a fucking break

In response to the story over the nine-year-old rape victim in Brazil who terminated her pregnancy this week, the Fox News resident asshole quack medical blogger Dr. Manny Alvarez clucks his tongue about the violent crime and the grave risk to this little girl's health, but then immediately follows it up with his own little shitbag analysis:

Compounding the tragedy of this case, today we learned that the young girl aborted her twin pregnancy.

Perhaps some of you might disagree, but I'm reading this as "It's so sad that her stepdad raped her and endangered her health but it's just as bad that she didn't continue carrying the pregnancy she didn't want and might have killed her."

Yeah, thank god that assholes like this guy are around to remind us that a child's life is not worth as much as, um, a child's life?

I'm kind of irritated that people even know the girl's choice at all. With a victim this young, the Brazilian government should be doing more to protect her privacy. She's taken enough abuse.

I agree. The Church probably just wants some publicity other than kid-touching. It's amazing that anyone still considers the Church a moral authority at all.

A fetus (or in this case two) will trump a female child anytime.

I'm not sure if this is sexism. People who live close to college take their laundry home bedroom furniture all the time. It's making fun of college students for being lazy more than anything else.I guess you could argue it's bad because it implies that the mother is always the one who does the laundry, but I can't think of an alternative that doesn't sound awkward. Do they also have "Hi, Dad" bags?
