While riding the bus in London, I couldn’t help but notice the large furry porn billboard seductively staring me in the face. Apparently Cadbury’s bunny “still has it.”
Beats me why any business would spend loads of dough to sexualize their mascot. This bunny rabbit really makes me scratch my head. Cadbury assures us that Little Miss Carmel is “back with more curves and makeup.” Because that’s what we want from a caramel chocolate bar?
Using female image and sexuality to sell a product has been used as a marketing strategy for a long time. But turning cartoons into seductresses? Does this bridge sexism or bestiality and who is the intended audience?

I feel the same way about the 'sexy' green m&m (the only female m&m it seems). The commercials are pretty over-the-top, so it almost seems like their trying to parody the ridiculousness of using hot women to sell their products, but they could be better done if that is their intention. Also, if there was other female m&m's who appear in other situations, other than just being sexy, then it might not be so bad.

Totally off topic, but Cadburry eggs have to be one of the most disgusting foods known to humankind. I can still remember my first and only bite into one of those long coveted eggs as a child. It remains one of my life's greatest disappointments.
Do you mean Cadbury cream eggs? Because I don't like those either. Cadbury mini eggs (which used to only be available in Britain and Canada-but I think the US has them now) are amazing though. Cadbury makes great chocolate! (mini eggs are sort of like Hersey's Eggies)
LOL. Yup, I was talking about the cream eggs. Shudder.I guess I should have clarified but was not aware Cadbury made other chocolate eggs. I myself only buy fair trade chocolate now since finding out that many chocolate companies actually use cocoa grown by slaves. I'm not sure what Cadbury's reputation is regarding human rights.
Cadbury's going Fair Trade soon, actually: http://www.cadbury.com/media/press/Pages/cdmfairtrade.aspx
Thanks for sharing that! Guiltless Mini-Eggs, here I come (after this summer!)
