Is Ted Casablanca a Feminist Ally?
Reading Ted Casablanca's gossip blog on the E! website is an embarrassing guilty pleasure, but I was delighted to see yesterday's update about a supposed altercation between Woody Harroldson and Gloria Steinem. While the "confrontation" is nothing exciting, Ted adds a link to an article at Feminist.com and calls out Hustler Magazine for its pro-rape past.
He's also railed against Twilight infantalizing its female protagonist.
The page is here (and fear not, the comments aren't even upsetting).

I haven't seen him in years, but I thought the article was good and I watched the 1st video on his playlist and I love that he reamed Chris Brown and had a birthday party for that adorable dog!!
Ted is definitely one of my guiltiest pleasures, but actually not too guilty because he generally stands up for women, rails against the sexism in Hollywood and the world in general and appreciates role reversal and gender equality. The only thing I have ever really disagreed with him about was how he insisted on discussing Rihanna's "dark" past and rumored violence towards Chris Brown. That smacked of blaming the victim.
