So much for aging gracefully
Ever get caught somwhere between a laugh and a little bit of vomit? Yeah, me neither, but that's kinda where I'm at after seeing this story pop up on HuffPo today:
Because who needs individuality when you've got £10,000 at your disposal? But Janet and Jane are not twins. They aren't even sisters. They are mother and daughter. And, in what many will see as a depressing indictment of today's youth-obsessed society, Janet confesses to having spent more than £10,000 on plastic surgery in a desperate effort to bridge the 22-year age gap between herself and her daughter.
What's this I keep hearing about the economy failing?

I just feel so sorry for these people who feel like they need plastic surgery to be happy. It's like, how stupid is it when a country considers wanting plastic surgery to be happy normal?
I used to want new breasts and a new nose in high school, and I still kind of do. I've become more okay with my breasts, plus I refuse to risk losing feeling in them. But seriously. The only reason I ever wanted either was because people to9ld me I needed them. People being my mom. And a few other people. And of course famous women magazine pictures didn't help.
I think it should be considered a form of bullying to tell someone so-and-so plastic surgery would be great. At least then more people would decide for themselves to get it, instead of thinking they need it just because others made them think they were weird for being okay with a particular part of their body.
Man, if I were her daughter, I would be so weirded out.
not everyone who spends money HAS the money.
i think cosmetic surgery is a personal choice, but she should have thought about how this will affect her daughter...whatever happened to wanting to look like celebrities?
