I don't get it. Is this something real or some kind of spoof? Either way, I don't get it...

Maybe I'm reading it all wrong, but isn't this movie going against everything feminism is about? It's just adding to the hype and stereotype that all feminists are man-hating, baby-killing lesbians, as was said at the beginning of the trailer.

Yea I was waiting for a few comments to surface because I thought I was the only one who did not get it...I mean, even if it is trying to be sarcastic, I don't think it did a good job at all...

IMDB lists Women's Studies as in production, and lists these plot summaries.

Short summary: "A grad student and her friends become trapped at a women's academy run by a cult of homicidal feminists."

Long summary: "Women's Studies is the story of a pregnant grad student and her friends who are held captive at a women's academy that's actually a cult of feminists bent on the enslavement of men. A look at groupthink, women's issues, and how blind belief in a one-sided dogma can create a terrorist."

Writer/Director Lonnie Martin has also written and directed Posi+ive: "Posi+ive takes place in a not-so-distant future where a ban on sex and marriage is placed on HIV positive individuals. In response, a biotech industry selling life-like robot "Companions" has arisen. Ian, a positive, purchases a Companion and tries to love her, hoping she will have the capability to love him back."

So extremely sorry to report it is not a spoof.

Yeah, that says it all. Another asshole creating a anti-feminist movie. it looks liks real "B" material too, so maybe it'll be like all the other unknown crap "B" horror movies and remain unknown.

wowwwww....i really want to punch whoever is making this movie now; more than I have ever wanted to hit someone in a looooong time.

Ditto! Any more punch pledges?

What... the... fuck?! This is very odd. It's just going to make fun of us "psycho" feminists and call feminism either ridiculous or a dangerous cult. Not looking forward to it.

And I can't believe it's not a spoof! It's idiotic.

At least it's straight to DVD, and isn't a theatrical release. But I wonder... what kind of person seeks this kind of movie out? And what influence does it have?

[0+] Author Profile Page Fitz replied to Lilith Luffles :

Did you see the quality of the trailer? It has zero influence.

Not that there are men terrified of women with power or anything... *rolls eyes*

[0+] Author Profile Page Gopher replied to Lyr :

And that there are men that are actually doing what this movie pretends feminists are doing. They usually dont have a group name or anything, theyre just known as men. They have the exscuse of patriarchy and its taken for granted precedent to hide under. Or maybe an occassional MRA.

WOW. I am very glad it won't be going to theatres....
I think people are running out of ideas for movies...i mean, homicidal feminists? really?
