If I recall correctly, haven't ouija boards always been marketed to prepubescent and teenage girls? I've never seen an advertisement with boys.
I didn't realize that a Ouija board even had a gender. And what's the point of making it pink if you're going to be in the dark anyway?
Is this expressly for contacting My Little Pony after the glue factory incident?
@starryeyed.kid21: Ouija has always had some appeal for preteen and early-teen girls, but it's only since Parker Brothers changed the box design (to this from this) that it's been specifically marketed that way.
Really? I don't see how the second one is supposed to be more "for girls" than the first one.
Maybe it's just my own perception that the second shows definitely young, almost childish looking hands. The original box dates from a time when Ouija was marketed primarily to adults.
It happened to scrabble, it was only a matter of time before it happened to the second greatest board game ever.
On a side note, when I was a girl my sisters and I bought a Quija board and were so disappointed in it that we wrote a letter to Hasbro asking if it was all bunk. They replied with some BS that essentially meant "Chill, it's just a game." I still want my 20 bucks back.
