I recently came across this site where wedding photos are taken and the bride is photoshopped/shrunk down into a miniature person that the groom can literally pick up.
Some of the pictures are of the bride sleeping in a jewelry case, holding her skirt down while the groom lifts it with a pen, sitting on the groom's shoulder, dancing in the middle of candles while the groom watches her, popping out of a box held in the groom's hands. If there was ever another set of wedding photos demonstrating inequality between bride and groom, or the bride as an object/toy possessed by the groom, I don't know where they are.
Here is 8Asians take on it.

I find this really disturbing. I mean now its not enough for women to just be below men, now we have to be dolls that they own too? What the Fuck is wrong with this world. What happened to mens brains and where can we go to retrieve them?
These photographs would be cute--if there were also ones with miniature grooms (imagine a tiny couple frolicking among rings or flowers). As it is, it seems to reflect a cultural preference for petite women taken to an extreme.
About the only one I find offensive is the looking up her dress one. Maybe I am just oblivious to how it is offensive because of how many shows I watched that have the small!girl with regular sized guy as an element. To me the one with the jewel boxes are really artsy rather than her being a piece of property.
