I was browsing different websites today, as I typically do when I am bored, and I found a link to this little gem from a video game forum I frequent: One Regular, One Indian
I don't know why, but for some reason I was astounded by the ignorance of the two white girls here. I was also disgusted. Here's a few reasons.
1. I don't care what color you are, you do not get to decide what race or regional origin of another person. If a person tells you that they are Asian, then she is Asian. She is not African just because you think she looks African, ESPECIALLY if that reason is because she has dark skin. There's white people in Africa too genius, and yes, they were born there. Not all Asians have "pointy eyes" as you so cleverly put it. She's not Asian because she wants to be Asian, she's Asian because she's from a country in Asia! Oh, and being white doesn't make your other friend "regular."
2. There actually are people in this world, and in this country who don't believe in Jesus. Just because someone has different religious beliefs than you doesn't give you a right to tell them that they are wrong. There is no proof that Jesus was a real person that did all the supernatural things that the Bible tells us, it's called faith. You claim that you care about this girl and you don't want to see her burn in hell. I think I would have to disagree. You don't care about her, because if you did, you wouldn't tell her that you can't be friends because she doesn't love Jesus. It isn't her fault that she can't feel Jesus in her heart, it's not because she's not open enough, she has different beliefs and you should respect that she has different beliefs. If she chooses to believe in Krishna (who is not the Hindu name for Jesus, he's an entirely different person and actually predates Jesus by several hundred years) instead of Jesus that is her right.
3. One thing you are right about is that Saraa isn't a bad person. At least I'm assuming she's not, I don't know her after all. A person can be a good person and not be Christian, it isn't a requirement. What this boils down to is that you and your friend are the ones who are closed minded, insisting that Saraa is the one who needs to change. Frankly I don't understand how she could stand talking to you for that long without snapping, and I'm quite impressed with her patience. There's this thing called colonialism, and you're exhibiting it in this video. Western beliefs, cultures, people etc. are not automatically better or more correct than Eastern ones.
4. In conclusion, Hindu is not the only religion in India. There are Muslims, Buddhists and a few Christians there as well. India is in fact in Asia, not Africa. Look at a map. Not all Asians have pointy eyes. Religion is about faith, not fact. Christianity is not right and Hindu is not wrong.
Seriously, I don't want to play the racism card here, but it's REALLY hard not to. I'll just leave this blog at that.

I think this is an attempt at satire. Not very funny or clever satire, but I think the idea is to poke fun at xenophobes.
This has been making the rounds. The general consensus seems to be that it's satire.
If its on college humor, I'd say the odds are good that it is satire.
I've had similar conversations though, from well intentioned born-again friends worried for me due to my agnosticism or worried for my friend due to her Catholicism. They've since outgrown trying to Save us, thank god!
That first woman was so delightfully ignorant that it was adorable.
I was also of the opinion that it was satire. But I might also be too optimistic to think that no one could be this ignorant.
Yes. They are freaking kidding you.
haha I only watched the first 3 minutes but it's obviously satire. They are making fun of people who are ignorant of the multitude of cultures and body types and religions in Asia and Africa. My guess is the whole video project started as a response to the dumbass questions and comments that their Indian friend received. Well done in my opinion.
Jainism (j?`n?z?m), Zoroastrianism and Judaism are also present in India. I don’t know if those chicks are a joking or not the feed… or did you do that lists this as “collage Humor” but maybe the good folks at “collage humor thought this was so bad it was f..ing funny. I don’t know if its f…ing funny or not we should track these two crusaders down and give them a taste of their own medicine!
Gentlewomen and Gentlemen... as stated above was posted on a website called College Humor...
Now I know sometimes people get confused when something is posted from The Onion and it is their first experience with their work... but from a site called College Humor...?
You could call it fails at being funny, is in poor taste, stupid, etc... but it is an attempt at some sort of humor.
And as was said below, you could track down the persons Youtube account to try and get some type of background on the poster before blasting someone.
That way, when you do blast them, ya can blast them for the right thing.
I really hope that this was intended to be satire. When I first started watching it I was sure it was real because I have met people who talk and think like this.
It's not "playing the racism card" to call a racist jackass a racist jackass.
And anybody who has "regular friends" and "Indian friends" is, in fact, a racist jackass.
Beyond that, I have a special distaste for Christians who try and cram their beliefs down other people's throats because "it's the wrong path" and "you'll burn in hell" if you disagree with them.
I don't insult them for their fantasies about having a personal relationship with a dead Israeli man - they should return the favor by withholding their comments about my beliefs.
I agree with you there. I am a christian and I don't believe in anyone cramming beliefs down other people's throats. I actually get really mad at the people who do because it gives all of us a bad name and people look at us like we carry the plague because of the ones who can't respect another's religion.
Exactly! “Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary use words.”
And DBAD
I hope it's satire. Badly done satire.
It's not "playing the racism card" to call a racist jackass a racist jackass.
This, times a thousand.
It is possible that it's satire of course, but it's just as possible that it's for real. I've met some pretty ignorant people in my life, so this train of thought didn't really surprise me all that much.
Yeah. I reacted the same way (outrage), but then I saw this video from the same girl's youtube account. I'd say it's pretty clear that she's trying to do some sort of satire about race/religion.
I think this post is hilarious. Essentially, two white women behave in a stereotypically racist way towards an Indian woman, so it must be real! Never even entertained the thought that it might not be real, despite the "College Humor" tag. It's two white women! They must REALLY be racist and ignorant! Not that there must be some people like this and we should make fun of them, but these two individual white women must be for real, because they fit a stereotype.
Just because someone has different religious beliefs than you doesn't give you a right to tell them that they are wrong.
Sure it does! If you, for example, had a "religious"
belief that the Earth was flat, I'd have every right to tell you that you're wrong. You wouldn't have to listen, but I'd still have the right to use any reasonable means to *try* to convince you otherwise.
And, indeed, if you believe that the God of Abraham exists, your religious beliefs are almost certainly wrong.
Guys, this is satire. The youtube video is tagged with "Poe's Law," and when asked if the video is real in the comments, the girl (Molly?) responded, "It's as real as God is." It's not genuine.
Real as God is? That doesn’t mean anything, what worries me is it is in the vain of a “mean girls” stunt i.e. girls being mean for real and then saying “just kidding”….It may well be innocuous but the style worries me and also the fact that it’s two women against one .
There has been a huge jump in hate crimes so if this is all just a stunt then why not come clean.

This seems contradictory. You claim each individual is entitled to his or her own religious beliefs ... then chastize someone for their religious beliefs. You claim that just because people have different religious beliefs than you doesn't give you the right to tell them that they are wrong ... and then you proceed to tell the speakers that they are wrong. Huh?
If each individual is entitled to their own religious beliefs, then they are entitled to believe that someone else is wrong.

People have commented on YouTube there have been thousands of hits on this video .No one can find “”Molly’s” profile suggesting that it isn’t satire or she would have surfaced by now to come clean or one of the other two in the video would have .If they don’t care it’s a mean girls stunt meant to keep people guessing and to hurt.
