I've heard from quite a few different sources that my generation has nothing to fight for or against, that oppression isn't relevant anymore. I've also been told, by those who aren't silly enough to believe oppression is extinct, that it could just be a case of us not caring enough to fight for our rights.
This video is a tribute to a group of students at the Ramapo College of New Jersey that prove these ideas wrong everyday!
If you work with a student population, or any activist population, take the upcoming new year to thank them for all of their amazing work. It has a been a turbulent year both socially and economically, and sometimes we all need to be reminded that any amount of progress is revolutionary. Even if you change one mind a day...a week...a month...a year...you are changing the world.
