A few days ago I came across a lovely website called “Boycott American Women.” I really can’t remember how I found it, but after perusing through the blog posts from American men who have posted to the site I felt pretty disgusted about the attitudes many of the men had not only towards American women, but more importantly, towards foreign women.
Some examples include:
““Many say that white American women’s physical attractiveness declines much sooner and quicker than certain other races. Most won’t leave the house until they gob on a ton of much-needed cosmetics just to look presentable. Many foreign women have much nicer body shapes, more feminine traits and a lot still have nice long hair, opposed to the boyish low-maintenance short cuts that most American women get by their mid to late teens and never grow back.”
“I say don’t get married period. But if you must be a hardhead, I believe outsourcing is the best idea. Foreign women are comfortable in their femininity. As a male I am attracted to this. I believe that American women have priced themselves out of the marketplace. Too needy, too many headgames, too easy to divorce. Not many foreign men want American wives either. Plus nowadays you hear American women using terms like “starter husbands”. Don’t do it guys. What a crude women American girls are. American men are considered the best husbands in the world. They sure put up with more than most men in other countries do. That’s why women from around the world try so hard to marry an American man. American women become very bitter divorcees.”
And, my favorite:
““Do you know that most American men now prefer foreign brides over American women? Hey ladies, I would STRONGLY encourage you to consider lesbian relationships with each other because you know what, American men no longer find you desirable.”
I thought I’d post the site and quotes to my feminist blog, Feminizzle, to see how my friends and readers would react to the site and the statements made by the “American Men” who post on it. Well, what I didn’t realize is that when you Google “Boycott American Men,” my site is about the 7th or 8th website to pop up on the results. I also didn’t expect the flood of angry posts and messages I would receive from the men who use the site. Some gems include:
“The men on the site say nothing about submission or domestic slaves. Stop making shit up. The fact is that I am in my 20s and have been raised with feminism from k-College and I have decided to boycott American women. Being able to cook, and I don’t mean putting something in the microwave only to burn the pastic into the food on the corner, is a attractive skill. All the guys I know my age or younger or slightly older know how to cook from scratch cause we have worked shitty jobs in the food prep sectors. I myself am a butcher and all the male room mates I have had could cook from scratch. Hell, I was raised by a feminist mother(second wave) who treated my dad like a little bitch. I have also dated feminist women who would bitch if I even suggested they do the dishes after I cook a meal for us. Fuck American women. After being treated like shit all through school by teachers and female friends and exs…fuck it.”
I fist started boycotting American women about six years ago after dating a muslim Arab girl. I thought it was either culture shock or simply me finding the most amazing woman in the world. She was starting her masters at 20, after finishing up her bachelors at 19. She was truly amazing and puts the average or even exceptional American women to shame. I really did think it was just culture shock but then I dated a few more non western women and I was amazed how confident, smart, sexy and nice they are. There is a aura or vibe they give off that I haven’t found even in Traditional American women. I think it’s called femininity. Something that American women have traded in for controlling demeanors and stress from jobs. Oh well. Have a good life, I will as soon as I expat later this year.”
“That 1 in 4 women Raped stat is also false as it is the result of Feminists hiring feminist researchers to do a study with the intent to come to a pre-determined result. as has been pointed out on this site:
They would ask questions like:
“Have you ever had sexual intercourse when you didn’t want to because a man gave you alcohol or drugs?”
Any woman who ever had the experience of sharing alcohol, having sex with a man, and later regretting it for any reason could answer “yes” to this question. By counting “yes” answers to this as affirmative evidence, Koss was able to reach the conclusion that a total of 27.5 percent of the respondents had been victims of rape or attempted rape. Interestingly, many of those she counted as victims did not see it that way themselves. Only about a quarter of the so-called victims in this survey labeled what happened to them as rape. About half described the incidents as “miscommunication.””
“I’m not American but anytime I come into american women I generally tend to find them uncouth, overly entitled and well, they mostly are slappers, aren’t they?”
Well, American-woman hating aside, what the men have displayed is a general lack of knowledge about feminism, rape and sexual assault, statistics, racism/tokenism of non-American (i.e. white American women), and a lack of understanding of how the American education system works. I find the tokenizing of foreign and/or ethnic women to be the most disgusting aspect of the comments on the site. The men who have commented on “Boycott American Women” seem to want wives who are submissive or, at least, not committed to anything other than family life and pleasing their husbands through their beauty and sexual availability. Also, I haven’t seen pictures of any of the men who have posted on the site, but I am left to wonder how they would feel if their foreign girlfriends or wives demanded that they shape up, look hot all the time, and cater to their needs? Hmm…would they be…GASP…like American women? Also, I live in Europe and the majority of European women I interact with on a daily basis wouldn’t want a man who tokenized them in this respect. I’m not speaking for all European women, obviously, but I would find it difficult that all non-American women want to be feminine, aesthetically pleasing and perpetually sexually and emotionally available to the men in their lives.
As for the hating on American women, I wonder if any of these guys have taken a look around any major city lately? I was home for the holidays and saw a plethora of beautiful, fit, kind, intelligent American women. I also wonder if the men on the site know anything about the prevalence of eating disorders among women? Or if they’ve taken into account the fact that maybe it isn’t the American women who are the problem, but rather their misogynistic attitudes that drive American women to run screaming from a relationship with them? No one wants to be or should be treated as a doormat–American women, non-American women, men from anywhere in the world, trans men and women–so why should American women allow themselves to be treated as such by the men in their lives? If anything, the men on this site might actually be taking advantage of the social, economic and political disenfranchisement of their foreign girlfriends and wives–women who use marriage or relationships with American men to leave the bad circumstances they are currently living under, even if the relationship they enter into is only marginally better in the long run. Although, I bet the dudes on the site think of themselves as “saving” their foreign partners.
