VA poised to become most anti-choice state in the union.
On June 15, 2012 the Virginia Department of Health will be voting on regulations that would force abortion clinics to adhere to extremely costly, unjustified and unnecessary regulations.
Other doctors’ offices performing similar procedures (colonoscopy, vision correction surgery, cosmetic surgery and dental surgery) are NOT included in these regulations.
These regulations are NOT based on scientific evidence. They do not improve patient safety. The ONLY PURPOSE of these regulations is force a majority of Virginia clinics to shut down, therefore limiting access to women in need.
