Bull Riding Cowgirl
Rodeo is a man’s sport. Sure there are events for women and there are associations for just women. But when you say rodeo, most people think of a male competing. Maggie Parker is challenging this as she becomes the first female to win a check in bull riding at a Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo in Bennington, KS. She is a 19 year old cowgirl from Shaftsburg, Michigan. Her 70 pt ride on June 2 earned her 6th and $460.00. Maggie is breaking down barriers in rodeo. I for one am cheering her on. It’s about time we had some ladies participating in rough stock. Below is her ride.
